Olio
Nuovo is just one of the many Extra Virgin Olive Oils produced by
California Olive Ranch (COR), located in Oroville, CA. Olio Nuovo
literally means "New Oil" because it is created from the maker's first
crush of olives. It is only offered once a year at the beginning of the
crush, and chefs look forward to its release each year because of its
burst of fresh olive flavor. This year COR decided to update the label
so that the bottle's exterior would reflect the unique oil inside. The
new look pays homage to the Mediterranean origin of olive oil, but also
has a fresh California flair with the use of bold colors and clean
type. This new look was followed through to COR's Food Service labels
which go on their 2.5 & 5 gallon boxes.
