Sherril (The Killer) Cortez —

Sherril has been putting up with Paul for over two decades and definitely deserves the award for Page Design longevity. Sherril is a production dynamo…not much gets by her eagle eyes as far as widows, bad letter spacing, spelling errors, etc. (Look your work over twice before you show it to her!) On weekends she can be spotted watching her childrens' sporting events with oh-so-cute Bailey on her lap.

Questions & Answers

Q) What was the last gadget or toy you bought?
A) My ipod shuffle. I know it's a little behind the times, but it holds enough songs to last through a good walk with Bailey or a little exercise on the Octane elyptical we have and that I don't use often enough. I like the shuffle because it's so small you can take it anywhere and not have to hold it.

Q) A party is not a party without …?
A) a lot of laughter!

Q) What was the last art exhibition you went to see? Where was it?
A) The California Fine Arts Competition at the State Fair. Featured were paintings, photography, printmaking, sculture, as well as digital art and video.

Q) Tell us about the last time you were surprised.
A) I was surprised when, after her first day at High School, my 13-year-old daughter exclaimed that she would be working in InDesign on the school newspaper. She knew I'd be happy since she knows I hate Word.

Q) Share a favorite quote.
A) No pain, no gain!

Q) What do you do in your spare time?
A) Lots of soccer games, dance recitals, doggie walks, visit friends, a little baking, help kids with homework, occasionally repair and remodel around the house (usually biting off more than I can chew), watch a few favorites on TV: Idol, ER, Hells Kitchen, So You Think You Can Dance.

Q) Do you have a favorite design tip you would like to share?
A) Make something on the page BIG.
